Community Health Clubs have been playing an instrumental role in addressing waste, clearing illegal dump sites doted around Mbare. Mbare is an economic hub for Harare and is characterized with high human traffic which results in high volumes of waste being generated within markets, households as well as the business sector.
Today Community Water Alliance is conducting a training of trainers workshop in Glen View with waterpoints committees selected from Budiriro and Glen View under the project #BeyondPeace.
The main objective of the training is to enhance waterpoint committees with knowledge and skills to manage conflicts that erupt at water points thus promoting social cohesion and coexistence of water users and committees.
District Officer Mr Mpingashato reiterated that Accountability, transparency, compliance and integrity should be the order of the day for waterpoints committees to reduce the cases of conflicts at waterpoints.
