Wetlands preservation for water provisioning and flood attenuation services

Guided by principles of humanitarian aid, Community Water Alliance in partnership with Oxfam distributed Non Food Items to more than 50 victims of floods in Budiriro. The immediate intervention is meant to save lives.

Beyond the assistance we reiterate our call to preserve wetlands, stop allocating residential stands on wetlands. Wetlands preservation should be part and parcel of the City’s Disaster Risk Reduction Strategy.
